Today students will have the Activities Director at RHS visiting class to introduce the students to "The Extra Mile" organization. Students will learn about the value and benefit of volunteering their time in the community and how they can be recognized and rewarded through "The Extra Mile" organization.
Students will also be finishing any sections of the Expolre test during the LAST make up day.

Students will be given a list of Vocabulary and are to record additional Vocabulary that is unfamiliar to them as they read. Students will complete Chapters 3-5 today and the Chapter Summary Assignment for the each. Vocabulary and Chapter Summary Assignments for Chapters 1-5 are due today.

Today students completed a Practice Timed State Reading Test to prepare for the EXPLORE TEST. ALL Freshman will be taking the the 4 Sections of the EXPLORE TEST beginning on 10/16 (A Day) and 10/20 (B Day).

Today students used the Peer Editing skills they learned during the last lesson to Peer Edit their Cajamarca Journals Assignments. Each student completed 2 Peer Edits and had their own journals edited twice. After this process, each student had class time to type their final drafts of the Cajamarca Journals.

Today the students will receive a brief lesson on the Peer Editing Process and complete notes and practice samples to demonstrate those skills. If you were absent, please ask your classmates to help you complete the attached Notes Page. Once you complete the Notes, you will be able to edit the Sample. Identify 2 Complements, 2 Suggestions, and as many Corrections as you can find on the Sample.
